Government delegation updates international organizations about the political situation in Maldives
A delegation of the government of Maldives has met with international organizations and shared the latest updates of the political situation of Maldives.

The delegation was headed by PPM PG Leader Nihaan Hussein Manik and the delegation held sessions with various organizations based in Geneva and also met with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zaid Raad Al Hussein.

In addition, they met with the president of IPU, the SG of IPU, senior figures of OIC, Troiker, senior officials of Saudi Arabia, USA, and Singapore.

Nihaan said that they discussed about strengthening democracy, judiciary and promoting human rights. In addition, he said that they shared information about the steps taken by the government to develop the economy of Maldives.

“In these meetings the officials we met thanked us for sharing information with them. They thanked for the priority given by the government of Maldives to engage in dialogue with international partners” said Nihaan.

In addition to Nihaan, SG of PPM, Abdullah Khaleel, MP Jamel Usmaan, Deputy PG leader of PPM Ali Arif, MP Ahmed Shiyam, and Jameel Usman were part of the delegation. Furthermore, the Permanent Secretory to Geneva, Dr.Haala Hameed and Deputy Permanent Secretory Saalim Waheed also took part in the meetings.
