Former Education Minister Dr.Asim have said that the whole world is concerned that the government is obstructing Qasim from receiving medical treatment.
Dr.Asim said that Qasim has already been sentenced to jail and obstructing him from receiving treatment is an additional punishment and he should not be given additional punishments that are not mentioned in his sentence.
Dr.Asim said that forcing Qasim Ibrahim to return to Maldives without the permission of the doctors is unacceptable. He said that EU passed a resolution against Maldives because Maldivian government is involved in doing such unlawful acts.
He said that EU is not the only organization that expressed concerns about Maldives but even UN issued some statements regarding Maldives.
