Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz have said that the government should abide by the constitution of the Maldives and until then the protests will continue.
Speaking at a press conference held at Kunooz by opposition parties today, he said that even now 7 parliament are not allowed to enter the parliament and different cases are filed against 21 members.
Riyaz said that even if all members are jailed except one, then even that member will protest. He said that the protests cannot be stopped by jailing all the members.
He said that the government should engage in dialogue and obey the laws. “From the most recent vote also it is very clear what the people want. Hence the government should listen to the people. Then all problems will be solved” said Riyaz.
