Fenaka Corporation have stated that the power cuts in Addu will be completely fixed by the end of this year.
Speaking at a press conference held today the Chief Technical Officer of the company, Hussein Hameez said that 4 generators out of the 11 generators in the city are faulty. He said that the spare parts needed to repair these generators are not available in Maldives and that they are working to procure it from abroad.
He said that they provided with two 2.4 megawatt generators to Addu City and now they are developing the sea water cooling system required to install these two generators. He said that they are also planning to expand the powerhouse of Addu.
