AOSIS ministerial meeting begins in the Maldives
AOSIS ministerial meeting has begun in the Maldives today.

The meeting will last for two days and is being held at Bandos Island Resort. Ministers from 17 small island states are taking part in the meeting.

A total of 70 delegates are taking part in the meeting including, representatives from donor agencies and senior government officials of AOSIS countries.

This meeting was an initiative taken by Maldives as the chair of AOSIS. According to environment minister Thoriq, they will discuss about getting funding for renewable sources of energy, and about disaster mitigation plans.
