Chinese government donated LED lights to Maldives.
In a ceremony held at SHE building last night, the 262,000 LED lights were handed over to the government of Maldives by Chinese Ambassador to Maldives H.E Zhang. Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim accepted the lights on behalf of the government.
Five LED lights will be given to each household and Fenaka will distribute it. In addition, during last night’s ceremony girl guide association and the scout association were donated with home solar pv systems.
Previously the Chinese government donated 400,000 LED lights to Maldives. Most of it was distributed to the households in the atolls.
