Health Ministry have stated that medicines that were manufactured for a specific country is becoming common in Maldives.
The ministry said that since such medicine are specifically manufactured for a certain country, it is forbidden to sell such products in Maldives.
In addition the ministry said that such medicines will not be released during port clearance and it will be also removed from the shelves during pharmacy inspections.
Ministry warned that they will take action against pharmacies which continues to sell such products and asked for cooperation in this matter.
