A delegation from the European Union will visit Maldives tomorrow.
The delegation is visiting to monitor the political situation of Maldives and will say in Maldives for wo days. Four parliament members of the EU will be in the delegation. They will meet the opposition figures and inquire information about the upcoming presidential elections.
Meanwhile, on October 5th a resolution was presented to the EU parliament regarding Maldives. However no vote was taken to pass the resolution. Speaking about the resolution, the Maldivian Ambassador to EU, Ahmed Shiaan said that such resolutions are non-binding.
Maldivian government stated that EU will not take any action against Maldives.
