Finance Ministry have stated that they have given MVR 23 million to four political parties.
They said that they sent the money allocated for political parties in the state budget, last Sunday. PPM got the most amount of money (10 million Rufiyaa) out of the four parties. Meanwhile MDP for 7.4 million Rufiyaa. JP and MDA got 2.7 million Rufiyaa.
In the 27 billion Rufiyaa budget of 2017, 27 million Rufiyaa was allocated for political parties. MDP filed a case against Finance Ministry on 12th October due to the delay in giving this fund.
Even though Finance Minister Munawwar said that they have given the money to political parties, he parties denied it.
