EU delegation meets opposition parties.

EU delegation that is visiting Maldives have met with opposition parties to discuss about political situation of Maldives. The meeting was held last night at Hotel Jen.

Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz who took part in the meeting said that they talked about how the government is treating the opposition with regards to the upcoming presidential elections.

Abdullah Riyaz said that they also shared how the government treated JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim and other p[olitical leaders with the EU delegation. “We told him that we believe that the candidates chosen by the parties should be able to run in 2018 elections” said Riyaz.

In addition to Riyaz, Yumna Maumoon, Eva Abdullah, Mariya Didi, Rozaina and Shidhatha Shareef took part in the meeting.

Opposition members shared three major concerns with EU delegation.
