Home Minister Azleen have said that if the majority of the people of a society believes that there is no justice, then all development and progress will be lost.
He said that everyone will know that the government is providing services to small islands at a level that has never been done before. He said that this can be evident if everyone looked at things objectively.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the forum held by Environment Ministry regarding the sustainable developmental goals, the minister said that few countries have provided clean water and sewage services at a level that Maldives has provided.
Azleen said that even though, some people are providing false information regarding the developmental projects of the government and that it is the responsibility of NGOs as well to spread correct information. The minister said that the NGOs should play a role in spreading correcting information if people misinform the public even though the government is spending billions on the development of small islands.
The minister also said that the NGOs have the right to talk about the rights of the people.
