PPM has removed three parliament members and asked the Elections Commission to remove them from the party. The three members are MP Saudullah Hilmy, MP Musthafaa and MP Ali Shah. The disciplinary committee of PPM unanimously voted to remove these members.
These three members signed the petition to take a vote of no confidence against speaker of the parliament Abdullah Maseeh. The three members are also critics of the government now. Hence PPM considers that these three members as the opposition now.
Once the Elections Commission removes the three members from PPM’s registry the members will lose their seat in the parliament according to a new Supreme Court ruling.
