Elections Commission of the Maldives has declared three parliament seats as vacant. The three vacant constituencies are Thimarafushi, Thinadhoo North, and Fuvahmulah North.
EC made this decision after PPM decided to dismiss MP Musthafaa, MP Ali Shaah and MP Saudullah Hilmy from the party.
According to a Supreme Court ruling, if a parliament members is dismissed from the party, then the member will lose the parliament seat.
