Dhiraagu Road Race is to be held in Hulhumale’ on 24th of November.
Dhiraagu has been conducting this race since 2007. The race has a 5km and a 10km event. This is the 11th year of the race and the only internationally accredited race in the Maldives. This year’s motto for the race is “ Protecting the rights of children”.
Various NGOs active in protecting the rights of children will be taking part in this race. The deadline to register for the event is 2nd November 2017. Dhiraagu will donate 200,000 Rufiyaa to 5 NGOs selected by the most number of runners. In addition, the revenue generated from the t-shirts bought by the runners will be donated to 5 NGOs as well.
Dhiraagu says that the list of registered NGOs will be available on their website and then the runners will choose to which NGO they want to dedicate their run.
