MP for Dhigaaru constituency, Faaris Maumoon has submitted 47 witnesses and 27 items of documentary evidence as defence to the Criminal Court.
Faaris is being charged for using the flag and logo of PPM without permission. If he is found guilty he will be jailed for a period between 9 to 18 months.
A hearing regarding this case was scheduled for today but it was later cancelled. Previously the state submitted two anonymous witnesses against Faaris.
In addition, the state is also charging Faaris Maumoon for bribing parliament members. He has repeatedly denied the allegations in court hearings.
