Economic Minister Saeed have said that the world financial institution are increasing their trust to Maldives.
In a ceremony held at Velana International Airport to welcome the first flight of Air France to Maldives, the minister said that once the second runway of the airport is completed, largest airplanes in the world can land there and once the expansion project of the airport is completed, it will be sufficient for the next 15 years.
In addition the minister said that the government not only conducting infrastructure development projects but are also conducting various projects to develop the tourist sector. He said that the government has facilitated development of additional 50,000 tourism beds.
The minister welcomed officials of Air France and thanked them for beginning scheduled flights to Maldives.
