Foreign Ministry and MNU signs agreement to train foreign service personnel
Maldives National University and Foreign Ministry of Maldives has signed an agreement to train foreign service personnel.

In a ceremony held at Foreign Ministry today, the agreement was signed by Foreign Secretory Ahmed Sareer on behalf of FM, and Vice Chancellor of MNU Dr.Ali Fawaz Shareef signed on behalf of MNU.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sareer said that the courses will be conducted in collaboration with Foreign Service Institute and staffs of Foreign Ministry can take part in the courses. In addition he said that they will make researches on diplomatic relations and release it to the public.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr.Fawaz said that they will prioritize on making researches related to foreign relations. He said that MNU will fully assist in conducting researches and training.

Even now MNU has political science and international relations courses while Foreign Service Institute has certificate level courses. The university plans to start master level courses in foreign relations in future.

Foreign Service Institute was formed in 2014.
