Work of the boundary wall to reclaim Kulhudhuhfushi wetland area has begun. The purpose of the boundary wall is to separate the area that will be reclaimed to develop the airport.
The government has decided to reclaim 6 hectors from the sea and 9 hectors from the wetland area to develop the airport. According to the council, the width of the boundary wall is 8 feet.
The reclamation work is being conducting using the newly built hopper suction dredger of MTCC.
