Environment Minister Thoriq have stated that the government is trying to expand the role of private businesses in the energy sector.
Minister said that they have now created the net metering regulations and power purchasing agreements. He said that the data they are providing now is to facilitate the expansion of private sector.
The minister also thanked the private sector for their role and interest in developing the energy sector. Minister Thoriq also thanked President Yameen for his instructions and advice to develop the energy sector of Maldives.
