Health Minister Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim have said that the European Parliament cannot make decisions regarding the domestic affairs of Maldives and it is the Maldivian authorities that will make these decisions.
Speaking at a rally held last night by PPM the minister said that it is a shameful act to submit cases regarding Maldives to the EU and that Maldives will not accept it.
“It is a shameful act to submit cases regarding Maldives to the EU. The constitution says that Maldives is a sovereign nation. Our affairs will be handled by our parliament and our courts. Our jail sentences will be enforced in our jails” said the minister.
He said that it is low of the opposition to involve EU in Maldivian affairs and that these people do not have an ounce of love towards the nation.
The minister said that, the people today wants development and progress. He said that the government is bringing development and hence people of the Maldives are with the government.
