People of Kulhudhuhfushi has given a warm welcome to President Yameen when he visited the island today. Thousands of people went out to welcome the president him.
The whole island was decorated with different banners and other decorative objects. President visited the island today to officially inaugurate the land reclamation project to develop the airport.
The airport project will cost 53 million Rufiyaa and it is funded from the state budget. With the new hopper suction dredger of MTCC it will take only 25 days to dredge the land. It was previously estimated that it would take 6 months for land reclamation only.
