A delegation from the Global Moderation Forum of Jordan has visited Maldives.
They are visiting on an invitation by the Islamic Ministry of Maldives. H.E Marvan Al Farooee the SG of Global Moderation Forum and Ahmed Salaamaa Halaigaa the former deputy prime minister of Jordan are taking part in the visit.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss on ways Jordan and Maldives can work together against radical ideologies and to meet with relevant authorities to see areas which Jordan can assist Maldives.
The delegation met with Islamic Minister Dr.Ziyad Baqir and discussed about these matters. In addition they also met with Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef and talked about how Jordan can assist Maldives to work against terrorism.
The delegation will be in Maldives till 25th of this month and they will also meet with senior officials of the National Counter Terrorism Center.
