Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz have said that JP Leader Qasim, AP Leader Imran and former President Maumoon withdrew support for the government because they started committing crimes in the name of development.
Speaking at the rally held by the opposition in Thinadhoo last night, Riyaz said that these three leaders did not help to elect the current administration so that they can commit crimes. He said that these leaders want the government to administer in a way that is beneficial for the people.
“They stopped supporting the government because, the government started distancing from democracy, became oppressive, and paralyzed independent institutions” said Riyaz.
Riyaz said that many people from other islands attended the rally because they are against these actions of the government.
