Civil Court has accepted the case of granting medical leave for former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb. The court accepted the case 4 months after his lawyers filed the case.
Adeeb’s lawyer said that even thought they accepted the case, the court has not scheduled a hearing.
Adeeb is serving a 33-year jail sentence after being convicted of three different crimes. Adeeb’s family is saying that he has serious health problems such as stones in kidney and a cyst in his body. Adeeb’s lawyers have been appealing at different institutions requesting to grant medical leave for Adeeb.
The case has been also filed at UN and the HRCM is also investigating the case.
