Abdul Hameed Abdul Samad and youths from Dhangethi has joined Jumuhoory Party.
In a ceremony held at JP today their membership forms were accepted by Deputy Leader of JP Abdullah Riyaz.
Abdul Hameed said that he joined the party because he believes that JP has good opportunities for youths of both genders and because he believes he can serve the country through JP.
Speaking at the ceremony, the SG of JP Ahmed Sameer said that Qasim Ibrahim worked and continues to work for a better Maldives. He said that Qasim worked the hardest to bring democracy to Maldives.
Sameer said that Qasim was sentenced to jail because he is sincerely working for the nation.
Despite the challenges JP is facing due to intimidation from state authorities, many people are joining JP.
