Qaisar Naseem the general manager of Paradise Island resort has won the best GM award at World Luxury Awards.
He has been working in the tourism sector for more than 20 years.
In a ceremony held at Switzerland, Qaisar won the award after competing with general managers at world famous resorts. This is the first time a Maldivian won such an award.
Qaisar said that this is a good name for the tourism sector of Maldives and that it is a huge honor to win this award after competing with various others from world famous brands.
Last year, Qaisar won the best GM award from the Indian Ocean category as well.
