Education Ministry has given higher achievers scholarship to 41 students who completed high secondary school last year.
In a ceremony held at Champa Central Hotel, the scholarships were awarded by Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shihaam.
Speaking at the ceremony, State Minister of Education, Dr.Nazeer said that this is another milestone for the government’s effort to provide higher education opportunities to Maldivian students.
He said that recently student loans were awarded to 622 students and soon another 2050 opportunities will be announced.
Dr.Nazeer said that it is a high priority of the government to develop human capacity and the purpose of this is to educate a generation that will develop the nation.
