A branch of Commercial Bank of Maldives (CMB) has been opened at Tree Top Hospital. The branch was officially opened by the governor of MMA Ahmed Naseer.
CMB started operating in Maldives last September. The majority shares of the bank is owned by the Tree Top Group. This is the first branch of the bank outside Male’.
The bank is located in the support building right next to the hospital. The bank has two ATMs and deposit machines just like their branch in Male’.
Officials of CMB stated that they will start with one branch and then increase it to three within the first five years. They also stated that they will place ATMs in important locations and use modern technology in providing banking services.
