Deputy Economic Minister Abdullah Mohammed said that they are planning to sign an agreement China where China will assist Maldives to maintain the quality of Maldivian products.
He said that China will assist Maldives in establishing a special lab in Maldives and they will also assist in training personnel for the lab. Abdullah said that soon the Deputy Director of Standardization Organization of China will visit Maldives to sign the agreement.
He said that this is an important project since Maldives will get increased export opportunities to China with the Free Trade Agreement. He said that the government is getting ready for this and so far two meetings have bene held.
