The South Asian Athletics Federation Council has decided to hold the South Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2019 in the Maldives.
In a meeting of the council held at Equator Village, Addu last Sunday, the members decided to hold the championship in Maldives. The council members also decided to hold the South Asian cross-country championship in Bhutan, and South Asian Junior Championship in Sri Lanka.
The council members also discussed about amending some articles in the by-laws of the South Asian Athletics Federation. Afghanistan and Nepal did not take part in this meeting.
