Former Defence Minister Colonel Nazim has been changed to house arrest again.
A media official of Maldives Correctional Service said that Nazim was changed to house arrest because there are some renovation works going on in Nazim’s cell block.
Nazim is serving an 11-year jail sentence. He was changed to house arrest even previously. After spending one year in house arrest, he was changed back to prison again in March 2017.
Nazim was sentenced to 11 years in jail in 2015 after a pistol was found in his room.
