Captain Mohammed Shinan of MNDF have stated that the joint military exercises between Maldives and India will benefit Maldives and that it will increase the capacity of Maldivian soldiers in dealing with terrorism.
He said that while speaking to Indian media. Maldivian soldiers are now taking part in a joint training program in India. The training program is being held in Belgaam of India from 15th to 28th of December. The training center in Belgaam was recently upgraded to conduct these training programs.
The purpose of this exercise is to strengthen the military relations between Maldives and India and to gain experience in the fields of counter terrorism and counter insurgency. The trainings are conducted by senior officials of MNDF and Indian Army.
Last year’s exercise of this series was held in L.Kahdhoo training center of MNDF.
