State Minister for Education, Dr.Nazeer have said that since Maldives started teaching in English, the previous governments jus taught foreign syllabuses. He said that it is the current government that started a mega project to train people.
In a ceremony held to announce 2050 scholarships, Dr.Nazeer said that this is the largest project ever to be conducted by any government of Maldives to train people. He said that they decided the fields of study after conducting various researches.
He said that no previous government has worked as much this government did in the first 4 years of this administration, to provide educational opportunities for the youth.
The 2050 scholarships announced today will be the most number of scholarships announced by any government of Maldives. The purpose of this program is to train Maldivians for various jobs available in Maldives.
