First Lady of the Maldives, Fathimath Ibrahim has launched the 2050 scholarship program of the government and have inaugurated the Education Expo today.
Speaking at the ceremony held today to launch the scholarship program, Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shiham said that today Maldives is vocal in global issues and hence Maldives needs to train people from various areas. She said that the current government has made records in terms of training and skills development of the youth.
She said that even now the government has trained 4000 youth from various fields and provided educational opportunities for more than 5000 youths.
In today’s ceremony, a special award was given to the first lady to recognize her contribution in youth development and education.
