Ellaidhoo Resort is now fully powered by renewable energy. The island is powered by solar panels placed on a platform in the lagoon of the island.
The project was carried out by Solar World of Germany.
Ellaidhoo resort is the second Maldivian resort to be powered by solar power. The first resort is Dhigu Finolhu.
