President Yameen have said that the government is facing the new year with great determination to bring success and development to the nation.
In a statement made on the occasion of the new year the president said that with the experiences of the past 4 years, the government is facing the new year to bring new developments to the country. He said that the mega projects started by the government will be completed in 2018.
President said that the major focus of this year's budget is to deliver the manifesto of the government and that he hopes that this year will be the most successful year with the will of Allah.
President said that in the past 4 years government faced various challenges and the challenges were increasing year by year.
In addition he said that it is a great happiness for him to face these challenges and take Maldives to a new level of development. Furthermore he said that the biggest success for the government is to be able to face these problems and provide adequate solutions for them.
Further more the President said that in 2017, government was able to fulfill many pledges of the government and have completed various development projects all over the Maldives. In addition he noted that the government was able to provide various job opportunities for Maldivians.
