MP Faaris Maumoon's hearing regarding the bribery case is to be held tomorrow at the criminal court.
The last hearing of this case was held on 5th November. That hearing was a preliminary hearing where 15 out of the 23 defense points by Faaris was presented. In tomorrow's hearing the remaining will be presented.
Faaris was charged with bribery soon after a petition to remove parliament speaker Maseeh was submitted to the parliament. The state charges him for bribing the parliament members to sign the petition. Faaris has denied the charges.
Faaris was arrested in July 2017 and the court ordered to keep him in detained till the trial is over.
