Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has been charged for bribing police officers working at the intelligence department of Maldives Police Service.
In addition he has been charged with misusing his official position for personal benefit.
Currently Adeeb is serving a jail sentence for his role in the assassination attempt on President Yameen.
