Maldives Police Service has sent summon orders to VP of MDP, Shifaz, Deputy Chairperson of MDP Ali Niyaz, Member of national council of MDP Hassan Ahmed and MP Azim for gathering at a restricted area.
According to sources police suspects them of protesting in a restricted zone last Friday. Last Friday MDP organized a protest. The protest was against the recent actions taken by the government against Villa Group resorts.
