Chairman of Villa Group, Qasim Ibrahim have said that Legal Affairs Minister Azima Shukoor is lying by saying that Villa Group owes billions to the state and said that it is Azima who will know the best that Villa Group does not have to pay anything to the state.
Qasim tweeted saying that Azima is lying while knowing the truth. Qasim said that most of these cases related to Villa started while Azima was a lawyer for Villa Group. He said that Azima knows very well that Villa one of these cases in Supreme Court even. Qasim said that he regrets it that Azima is spreading false information about Villa Group like that while knowing the truth.
Azima have spoke on PSM saying that Qasim owes 2.9 billion Rufiyaa to the state according to state records. Many people have criticized Azima for making these statements. People are saying that Azima is making these statements against Villa because she wants to remain in her position at the President’s Office.
