Spokesperson of the President, Ibrahim Muaz Ali have said that the president asked to arrested MP for Dhiggaru constituency Faaris Maumoon.
Muaz tweeted saying that the President asked to implement the court warrant issued to arrest Faaris Maumoon. Meanwhile, Faaris said that CP Areef told him that influential people including the President has asked to arrest Faaris.
However, police spokesperson Shifaan have denied the claims that AP Areef met with Faaris Maumoon.
Maldives Police Service has arrested Faaris Maumoon at the time of writing this article.
