Prominent lawyer Husunul Suood have called the Supreme Court of the Maldives to Attorney General Mohamed Anil and Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham’s license to practice law.
Suood said that no one can ask not to obey a Supreme Court order and if they do it, it will be challenging the constitution. "It is a crime to say that you will obey a specific person once a court order is used. It will not be enough to say that you were acting on the orders of a specific person” said Suood.
Suood said that the Supreme Court order should be implemented as soon as possible.
“Both PG and AG also swore to act in accordance with the constitution. The constitution was made so that no one has to act on the orders of anyone. The state institution should obey court orders and the constitution” said Suood.
