The Judicial Service Commission has decided to suspend Justice Ali Hameed. According to JSC he was suspended after receiving evidence of high treason, accepting bribery and planning to over throw the government.
Ali Hameed was arrested while he was in the Supreme Court. At the moment he is being treated at IGMH after his health worsened. According to his family, even his family is not able to meet him.
Police and MNDF raided the court on Monday night, and arrested Ali Hameed and Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed. Police have also arrested three members of Ali Hameed’s family.
