Maldives Police Service has sent a summon order to MP Mahloof over a tweet. The summon order signed by Inspector Nadheem, ordered him to be at the police station tomorrow at 15:00 hours.
Mahloof tweeted a picture of the summon order and said that he will go to the police station. He said that he will not back down even if he is arrested and jailed and said that he will defeat President Yameen’s government.
In addition to Mahloof, MP Musthafa was also summoned to police station yesterday regarding some statements he made on RajjeTV.
Some other parliament members have also been arrested for attempting to overthrow the government. These members are MP Faaris, MP Abdullah Sinan and MP Ilham.
