Maumoon Hameed, the lawyer of former President Maumoon have stated that the authorities have still not questioned Maumoon who is detained by the police at the moment. He said that no questioned were asked because they do not have anything to ask.
Maumoon said that, they did not ask any questions from President Maumoon because he did not do anything for which he should be questioned.
In addition he said that President Maumoon was arrested unlawfully and that he is being treated unlawfully. He said that since President Maumoon was arrested unlawfully he will not cooperate with the investigations, but if the investigations are carried out in accordance with the laws he will cooperate.
Maumoon Hameed said that even in a state of emergency those who are detained should be treated in the same way and if some people are taken to court for remand hearings, then others should be taken as well.
