Legal Affairs Minister Azima Shakoor have said that the government does not have any plans to extend the state of emergency.
Speaking at a press conference held today at the President’s Office targeted for foreign journlaists, Azima said that Maldives is in a stable situation.
In addition she said that the state of emergency will end on 22nd March and the government does not want to extend it. She also said that the state of emergency is implemented on people who took part in unlawful activities only.
