Elections Commission has started creating the voters list for the presidential elections that are going to be held in September 2018.
EC has met with Department of National Registration and National Center for Information Technology today to discuss about the process. EC member Akram said that they will publicize the list after meeting with relevant institutions. He said that they are creating the voters list based on the database of DNR.
“We are trying to publicize a better list than we did for the local council elections” said Akram.
The commission has been conducting meetings with various state institutions and international organizations regarding the upcoming elections.
Previously it was decided to use e-voting in this year’s election however EC later changed the decision.
