Deputy Leader of JP, Ameen Ibrahim have stated that Qasim Ibrahim’s name cannot be wiped from the hearts of the people even if his name has been erased from papers.

Speaking at JP’s congress, Ameen said that the nation remembers Qasim’s services to the nation and that these services are engraved in the hearts of the people as well. Ameen said that Qasim is the main pillar of the reform movement of Maldives and that he is the life of this movement. He said that he will remain steadfast in protecting the movement initiated by Qasim.

Ameen said that Qasim has done a lot to save Maldives from danger and that he is a wise leader. In addition he said that the country has seen many developments because of Qasim and that everyone should work together to sustain the country like that. He further said that Qasim helped everyone no matter who the person is and that JP’s aim is to expand Qasim’s services to the nation.

Ameen said that the country has a huge wound and many doctors have tried to heal it without any success. He said that the fire of hatred is burning and growing day by day. He said that Maldives needs a leader who can solve all these problems and that there is a person who can do it. Ameen said that, JP will select such a person with counsel from Qasim Ibrahim and that person will be JP’s candidate.
