Ibrahim Mohammed Solih the opposition candidate in the upcoming presidential elections, have stated that voting cannot be delayed and that the results of the election should be announced without rigging it.

Speaking to the people of Vilifushi, Ibu said that the government is planning to rig the election, but he will not give that chance. “President Yameen should accept defeat and get out of the President’s Office” said Ibu.

He said that the vote should be counted in front of the people and in a transparent manner.

Speculations that the government might delay the elections has increased after Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar posted on Facebook saying that there is a threat to destabilize the nation.
