A test flight has landed at N.Maafaru Airport for the first time. Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer and senior government officials traveled to the island via the test flight.
The government is planning to start operating domestic flights to the airport within this month.

Talking about the airport previously, Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer said that to make the airport sustainable, a transit hotel and a resort will be developed at Maafaru.
